These Terms apply to you in one of two capacities, and it matters which:

• As a visitor to this website, browsing our work and information.
• As a customer of the Lenscowboy platform, using our tools to create your own work. Where a clause below applies only to one capacity, it says so.

"Customer Content" means everything you upload to the platform (reference images, scripts, prompts, source assets), everything the pipeline generates for you (images, video, audio, 3D, composites), all intermediate project files (LINK graphs, PAL scenes, LCBE bibles, character references) and all metadata derived from them.

By accessing or using this site or the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Lenscowboy Media & Entertainment (Pty) Ltd is a creative studio specialising in visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, animation, and AI-assisted content production. Our services span traditional production workflows, AI-generated video and imagery, automated content pipelines, and hybrid productions combining human artistry with AI tooling.

Our website showcases portfolio work, provides information about our services, and may offer digital products, SaaS tools, and subscription-based content services.

By accessing lenscowboy.com or any associated subdomain, application, or digital service, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian;
• You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms;
• You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.

3.1 Lenscowboy Content

All content on this website, and the Lenscowboy platform itself — including but not limited to VFX footage, animation sequences, AI-generated images and video, written copy, design assets, brand identity, software tools, pipeline scripts, node graphs, procedural libraries, trained models and original music published by us — is the exclusive intellectual property of Lenscowboy or its licensed contributors. All rights reserved.

This section does not apply to Customer Content. Customer Content is dealt with in section 3.2, and nothing in this section 3.1 gives Lenscowboy any ownership of it.

No content may be reproduced, distributed, publicly displayed, modified, or used in derivative works without express written permission from Lenscowboy.

3.2 Customer Content — Yours

Content you create using the Lenscowboy platform is yours. As between you and Lenscowboy, you own all right, title and interest in your Customer Content, including the outputs the pipeline generates for you. Lenscowboy claims no ownership of it. We did not commission it and we did not pay for it; it is your work.

You grant Lenscowboy only the narrow licence we need in order to run the service for you: to store, transmit, process, render and display your Customer Content, and to route it to the third-party providers required to produce the output you asked for. That licence exists solely to operate the platform on your instruction, ends when you delete the content or close your account, and carries no right to use your Customer Content for our own purposes.

We will not use your work in our own marketing without asking you first, separately and specifically, for the material concerned.

You are responsible for holding the rights in what you upload, and for your use of what you generate. Generation runs through third-party providers whose acceptable-use policies govern how the tools may be used; we select providers on terms that do not assign ownership of your outputs to them or to us, and we will tell you if a provider imposes a restriction on commercial use of a particular model.

3.3 We Do Not Train On Your Content

We do not train any model on your Customer Content without your explicit, per-asset opt-in. No carve-outs. No default opt-in. No hidden training clauses. This obligation survives termination of your account, and applies equally to Lenscowboy and to every upstream vendor through which your content is routed.

If we ever offer you the opportunity to opt into training a specific Lenscowboy model in exchange for tangible value — credits, early access, named credit, or revenue share — it will always be per-project or per-asset, always affirmative, always transparent, and always revocable.

3.4 Client Work

Ownership of deliverables produced for clients is governed by individual client contracts and project agreements. Nothing on this website conveys ownership of client deliverables to third parties.

3.5 Trademarks

"Lenscowboy," the Lenscowboy logo, and associated brand marks are trademarks of Lenscowboy. Unauthorised use is prohibited.

As a visitor: you may access and view this website for personal, non-commercial purposes, and share links to publicly accessible pages. All other use of our own published content requires written consent.

As a customer: your subscription grants you the right to use the platform commercially, to produce work for yourself and for your own clients, and to exploit your Customer Content without further permission from us. The restrictions below apply to our content and to the platform itself — never to your own work.

You may not:

• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from this site;
• Use any content for training machine learning or AI models without written authorisation;
• Reverse-engineer any pipeline, tool, script, or software showcased or described on this site;
• Use this website or its content for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• Impersonate Lenscowboy or any of its personnel.

5.1 AI Content Disclaimer

Portions of the content on this website may be generated or assisted by artificial intelligence, including but not limited to AI video generation, image synthesis, voiceover synthesis, and AI-composed music. Lenscowboy takes reasonable care to ensure AI outputs meet quality and accuracy standards, but makes no warranties regarding the factual accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content.

5.2 No Reliance on AI Outputs

AI-generated content presented by Lenscowboy on this site and its social channels is intended for entertainment, creative, and demonstrational purposes only. It should not be relied upon for legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.

This section describes our own published content. It places no restriction on what you may do with your Customer Content, which you own and may use commercially under section 3.2.

5.3 Third-Party AI Platforms

Lenscowboy integrates with various third-party AI services and APIs. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of those services. Your use of third-party AI tools accessed through or described on this site is subject to those providers' own terms and conditions.

Service enquiries, quotes, and project engagements are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement, Statement of Work or project contract. These Terms apply in addition to any such agreement; where a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement prevails.

Lenscowboy reserves the right to:

• Accept or decline any project at its sole discretion;
• Modify service offerings, rates, and availability at any time;
• Subcontract or use automated tools and AI pipelines in the delivery of services.

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. In summary:

• We collect only the information necessary to respond to enquiries and deliver services;
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties;
• We use industry-standard measures to protect any data you share with us;
• Contact form submissions and email correspondence may be stored for business records purposes.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Lenscowboy and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website;

The portfolio, reel, and case study content shown on this website is presented for demonstrational purposes only. Some work may be subject to client confidentiality agreements. Where client names, logos, or project details are displayed, they are shared with client consent. Reproduction or commercial use of portfolio content by third parties is strictly prohibited.

Lenscowboy operates automated AI content pipelines that publish to social media platforms on a scheduled basis. Content published via such pipelines (including but not limited to the Lenscowboy Daily AI Video Bot) remains the intellectual property of Lenscowboy. Engagement with such content on third-party platforms is subject to those platforms' terms.

Comments, messages, or interactions on Lenscowboy social channels are moderated at our discretion. We reserve the right to remove any content we deem inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of platform policies.
